Frequently Asked
Questions

Technical questions about our Solar Module Mounting Structures answered by our engineering team.

Ask Our Engineers

Solar MMS is the structural framework used to support solar panels in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. Total Steels manufactures precision-engineered MMS components designed for strength, durability, and long service life.

All Total Steels Solar Module Mounting Structures are precision roll formed to a minimum 85 microns (µm) as per IS 4759. This is applied in-house and measured and documented before dispatch. The coating is applied to all surfaces including internal bore of hollow sections, weld zones, and cut edges.

Our structures are designed to certified wind load standards covering all Indian wind zones. The design wind speed depends on your specific site — zones range from 33 m/s (Zone I) to 55 m/s (Zone V, coastal). We design to your site-specific wind zone and terrain category. Please share your site location for the exact design parameters.

Total Steels offers a 25-year structural warranty on all HDG Solar Module Mounting Structures. This covers structural integrity of the steel members under normal operating conditions. The warranty is backed by our in-house quality documentation — material test certificates, dimensional inspection reports, and coating thickness records.

Yes. All our structures are engineer-designed for your specific project. Non-standard panel sizes, unusual row spacing, non-standard tilt angles, and special foundation conditions are handled by our in-house engineering team. We provide structural calculation reports for all non-standard designs.

Yes. We regularly supply to EPC contractors and provide full documentation packages including: structural calculation reports, IS 875 compliance certificate, material test certificates, coating inspection reports, installation drawings, and a warranty card. All documentation is included with the order.
